Trials and Tribulation

Trials and Tribulation

Why do we have trials in our life...? Why can't everything just work out perfectly and the day always go smoothly...? We need trials more than we think. I've noticed that much of the time I want trials to go away. I may ask for them to be levitated and watered down. Or sometimes I just don't want them to show up at all. I now know that this is wrong.

Trials are in our life to strengthen us. Look at them as practice. We go through them like drills and if we are dedicated and try our hardest we'll come out better and close to our goal.

Through our choices we usually suffer some form of pain. There are people in this world that turn from God in pain, and there are people that grow closer. We must try and be those that grow closer. Pray for trials to help us grow stronger. Be aware of the effects that occur during these trials and use them to benefit you. Don't turn away from the Lord as a result of trials, pain, and tribulation.

I don't know why they look fuzzy. I promise there clear normally!

I've decided I want a new lens for me camera. The only problem is there a little out of my price range as of right now. I don't really have extra money to spend, its all going to the mission right now. Too bad I already had my birthday.

The Man in the Mirror

Can you look the man in the mirror and be proud...?

I propose a challenge for you. Find a mirror, this mirror needs to be large enough for fit your entire frame waste up. All you really need is your face but the effect is better from the waste up. Look yourself in the eyes, eyes are important, and size yourself up. Make sure your not glancing away that does no good. Are  you proud of what is looking back? Can you talk and be satisfied with what is seen? Are you proud of the person you see in the mirror? What are you doing wrong if your not proud of the mirror...and how can you fix it?

One more thing, don't do anything now that you know you'll regret later. Think things through and find a way to live your life to the fullest. There is nothing worse than wanting to change the past. We shouldn't want that to happen, and we should work now to prevent that. I once asked Chandis if she would go back to High School and do it over. After a moment of thought she faithfully answered NO. She did what she needed to do and learned what there was to learn. She regretted some things but what happened...happened. She tried her best with everything and didn't live anything down. Lets all follow her example...!

Look at those eyes in the mirror and SMILE!

Photography - The Fun

Taking pictures of other people is fun. Especially when you got those that don't want you to take a picture. They cower behind people and objects that they can find. You have to sneak up on them sometimes just to get a shot. Taking pictures if nature is pretty enjoyable too. I just like snapping off shots of stuff. The next best part us using photoshop to make the pictures look just a little bit better.

I was having a great Sunday and someone brought a scripture to my attention:

Ether 12: 27- And if men come unto me I will show unto them their aweakness. I bgive unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my cgrace is sufficient for all men that dhumble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make eweak things become strong unto them.
I was thinking about what that means to me. We must lean on our Father in Heaven for support and help with those weaknesses that we can't overcome. We must humble our selves and ask him for help. That means that we must tell him that we can't do it on our own and that we need the help he can provide. Will you do what it takes ?

We can do amazing things, but with the help of the Lord we can do anything that he needs us to do!

Some of these pictures were in my last post. I've updated them since then and added my own unique touch.

My Question...?

Why would you ever cause someone pain...?
Have you ever looked back on all the pain that you have caused people? What if you had to experience all the pain that you caused other people. Would you be able to withstand, and how bad would it hurt you? I know that with causing pain to other people there is usually enough denoted on yourself, but does that really matter. When we hurt people what is actually happening? I have seen the roots of pain and I can tell you there is no way that I would want that upon me, yet I still let it happen.

Have you ever looked on someone and tried to help them, but they were in to much pain? It makes your gut churn and your heart break. What if you had to go all day every day know that you were causing someone pain all the time. Just the fact that you were alive and living put someone else to bed crying every night, would you do anything about it? What if you could actually end all this suffering by just driving twenty minutes and showing up on the doorstep, would you do that? Would we go out of our way for an hour to help those around us that were hurt, what if they were a loved one? Of course we would go that far to help a loved one, to help part of the family, or would we? Now let me ask the biggest question of them all, would you go out of your way to help someone if they told you not to...? What if no matter what you did something bad happened and they finally decided that it wasn't worth the help, then what would you do? What if they just wouldn't let you help them, no matter what you did to try they just shut you out of their lives to stop you from showing up?

Pain is real. The Savior suffered more pain than anyone on this earth can imagine, and he did that for everyone. He went out of his way and lost his life for every person in this world. He helped those that didn't want help, he helped those that were in desperate need. Not only did he help those he needed but he helped those that didn't even know they needed help yet. Why can't we all be like the Savior? Well that is impossible, we can't go through that much pain and live, but we can try and act like the best person we can be.

Help those around us, and try not to inflict pain to someone that doesn't need it.

Mission

Oh the JOY this work will bring YOU!

I'm going to be honest with everyone, which is a good thing for me. I know that is a quote from someone from somewhere. (The BOLD title up there) I just don't know exactly who that was or where he said it from, sorry. I'll try to do better next time and look up some of my information.

I have had plenty of time as of lately to ponder on what will happen to me on my mission. As on now I still don't have a clue. Maybe that's what makes them so fun and amazing. You get to travel to another country, or to another state. Spend two years not worrying about anything but teaching other people and living the Gospel standards.

Yup it's decided, a mission can only be the best thing of my life. The greatest two years of my life that I won't ever want to live again! I'm excited to leave, and honestly excited to spend that much time so close to my Savior. Oh the JOY that I can't wait to RECEIVE!

Chandis is MAD, look at her face...!

I had a blast taking pictures of the girls, and I avoided most of the shots aimed at me! I actually took 80 pictures but there is no way I'm putting them all on here.
The best part of the trip, besides having fun with the girls, was trying to sneak up on a bird and get a good picture. My lens doesn't zoom in very far and getting close to a bird is not easy, especially in church clothes. It didn't work out as you can tell or I would have put a picture of it up.
